DETAILS:
*We request that participants sign in at 5:30 PM*
Calithumpian Committee members will be on site to assist.
Upon sign-in you will be directed to your designated starting point/line.
Further details will go out to all participants a week prior to the event.

There will be a prize for the Best Float! 
The Committee will complete judging before the parade begins.

PARADE RULES

General:

  • All entries must include appropriate decorations
  • Music is to be played or performed from floats and must not interfere with other float
  • No handouts may be thrown into the crowd from floats or vehicles – unless approved
  • Only music is permitted to be played (no other form of noise may come from your float)
  • All parade participants must adhere to Parade instructions
  • Failure to comply with Parade Regulations may result in a ban from future parades
  • All Participants must complete an entry form
  • All vehicles/Floats must obey the Highway Traffic Act regulations

Floats and Vehicles:

  • All drivers must be in possession of appropriate valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Use of horns is forbidden (e.g. air-horn, convention horn)
  • Participants must remain on floats during the parade and an adult must properly supervise children

Animal(s) Groups:

  • All animals must have a type of illumination to ensure adequate visibility for safety purposes
  • All animal entrants must have a clean-up following
