President
The President helps keep the Calithumpian Committee organized and moving forward throughout the year. They chair meetings, coordinate with community partners and local agencies, oversee key contracts and permits, and act as the main point of contact during Calithumpian weekend. This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, comfortable communicating with different groups, and enjoys bringing people together.

Vice President
The Vice President supports the President and helps keep committee initiatives moving throughout the year. They take the lead on off-season fundraising and help recruit and coordinate volunteers for Calithumpian weekend, particularly for licensed events. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys fundraising, working with volunteers, and stepping in wherever leadership support is needed.

Treasurer
The Treasurer looks after the financial side of the Calithumpian Committee. They manage deposits and payments, work with the different areas of the committee on budgets, organize event cash needs, and maintain accurate financial records throughout the year. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with finances and record keeping.

Secretary
The Secretary helps keep the committee organized by recording and sharing what happens at Executive meetings. They also take responsibility for organizing a smaller event during the year. This is a great role for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable keeping clear records and communicating with the group.

Special Events Chair
The Special Events Chair helps bring Calithumpian weekend to life by working with the committee to plan and organize events for the community. They coordinate event details, work with suppliers and volunteers, and help make sure there is something for all ages to enjoy. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys event planning, creative ideas, and bringing people together.

Parade Coordinator
The Parade Coordinator takes the lead on planning and organizing the Calithumpian Parade, from inviting clubs and community groups to coordinating the parade lineup and day-of logistics. This role also organizes the annual Thamesford Santa Claus Parade. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys community events, logistics, and working with a wide variety of participants.

Licensed Events Chair
The Licensed Events Chair oversees the organization of Calithumpian’s licensed events. They coordinate bar supplies and event needs, work closely with volunteers, and help ensure licensed events are properly staffed and organized. This role is best suited to someone who is comfortable leading busy events, coordinating volunteers, and working within Smart Serve and licensing requirements.

Communications & Digital Media Chair
The Communications & Digital Media Chair helps tell the Calithumpian story and keeps the community informed. They manage social media and the website, create promotional materials, support sponsorship and merchandise promotion, and work with event organizers to make sure information is current and consistent. This is a great role for someone who enjoys design, social media, websites, marketing, and community communications.

You don’t need to hold an Executive position to be part of Calithumpian!

Committee Members can help brainstorm event ideas, assist with community canvassing, lend a hand with event setup and tear-down, or volunteer during events. Meeting attendance is optional, making this a flexible way to get involved and support Calithumpian weekend.
